Who am I?
I am a designer based in Rotterdam and The Hague, temporarily living in Madrid. Born in Delft in 2005, I study Communication and multimedia design at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences.
When I was 12 years old I started designing graphics for my Instagram fan-page, making the worst collages man has ever seen on my phone. Over the years this started to evolve into more advanced graphics. Up to the point where I started teach myself Photoshop (or rather Photopea.com) around age 15, right near the start of the pandemic.
With this newly found skill, and way too much free time, I started designing concept football shirts. This eventually involved me selling these designs to at least 50 different buyers within a year. That’s when I decided I wanted to do something with design.
When it was time to make my decision for what school I was picking I was stuck between 2 choices - did I want to do graphic design, in a very much artistic setting - or did I want to bring value to the world? I opted for the last one, by picking CMD.
With experience in the graphic design industry, I prefer visual design. But that does not restrict me. I am passionate about complex designs systems, that bring order into a complex website. Managing the tiniest interactions to perfect the user experience for everyone involved.
I am very passionate about football, I train and play matches in a team at RSV Antibarbari. Since the start of this year I’ve been learning how to play golf, together with my 2 younger brothers and my dad. Outside of that I manage popular Dutch-speaking social-media account @transfermarkt.nl with over 100.00 followers! Since 2021 I’ve worked at almost all Ado Den Haag matches, preparing fried snacks for the most loyal fans. Something I enjoy doing immensely.
Experience
I have completed an internship from september 2024 til january 2025. In this internship I worked with a talented team of designers at a small design agency in the north of Rotterdam, named Okapion. During this internship I gained immensely valuable work experience, working with big clients and experienced designers in complicated design systems.
Currently I am spending a semester in Madrid to follow graphic design classes at the Universidad de Diseño, Innovación, y Tecnología as part of my minor. I chose to study abroad because I wanted to experience the different cultures about europe, and the impact that had on the way of living.
